We hope you and your loved ones are well and staying safe. At Floyd Lee Locums, we have always committed ourselves to placing locums clinicians in medical facilities across the country, specifically in times of extreme need or when there are critical gaps. And at no time is that calling more apparent that in the current circumstances brought on by the COVID-19 crisis.
Daily, we are amazed by the stories and sacrifices being made by our currently deployed clinicians. In tandem with this, the influx of available physicians and advanced practice clinicians who are reaching out to us and inquiring about where they can help is a testament to the medical profession as a whole.
As our nation is implementing local mandates and defining our new normal for the immediate future, we recognize many are displaced from their standard operations. While Floyd Lee Locums has always operated on a remote work model, we understand that isn’t the case everywhere, and we are ready and willing to support your needs. In an effort to keep lines of communication open, and align healthcare providers with facility shortages, we are increasing our interactions in the following ways:
- To expedite the placement process, we are proactively qualifying physicians and advanced practice personnel who are prepared for assignments.
- To serve our facility partners, we are calling all active and contracted clients to understand what measures they’re taking and any pending critical gaps.
- To inform our locums clinicians, we are sending weekly emails to our database of healthcare professionals highlighting critical gaps across the county.
- To address licensure restrictions, we are calling state boards daily to understand how each state is managing their processes.
- To source new talent, we are sending weekly emails to our database of “known,” available providers to identify additional clinicians that can be deployed.
- To address critical needs, we have put a team in place to consult with facilities on emergency staffing plans, including local provider sourcing that does not require air travel.

If you do not currently have a contract with Floyd Lee Locums, we can proceed supporting your search while the contract is pending legal review. We will not hold back on presenting CVs or confirming clinicians while that process is pending.
