As a healthcare company providing concierge locum tenens staffing, our physicians and advanced practice providers are mission-critical to the communities where they are providing care. Often our clinicians provide coverage and relief for permanent staff when a critical staffing gap impacts facility operation.
With increasing global awareness and concern for the impact of COVID-19, the safety of our employees and clinicians is our first concern. We appreciate the way our country is responding to this crisis by creating space through social distancing with the goal of slowing down the spread of this virus while we learn more about it. As a company, we operate a primarily remote workforce model and are very grateful this allows us to seamlessly continue our operations and be extra vigilant with communication and support through this crisis. We have also canceled attendance at conferences and in-person meetings and continue to have our internal employees grounded from travel to assist in creating that additional space.
Given all of that, we also understand that our clinicians are on the front lines of the COVID-19 epidemic. We are working closely with our facility clients and clinicians to understand what measures are being taken and how we can support them to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved during this uncertain time. Many of our clinicians travel to work in facilities, and with anxiety in traveling right now, we are working with each provider to understand their needs. Leaving their own families, while they are traveling to care for others, is a burden we recognize and empathize with. We know our clinical team understands and accepts that their career of caring for patients is both a blessing and a burden they carry, especially in times like these. We respect them immensely for their bravery and commitment in a situation that is without certainty or known end.
