Celebrating Our Volunteer Impact
Across the U.S.
in 2025

At Floyd Lee Locums, our dedication to service reflects our mission to make a positive impact in and beyond healthcare. In 2025, our team once again demonstrated an unwavering commitment to service by volunteering across the country and supporting causes close to their hearts. Through the company’s We Serve program, employees invested their time, talents, and compassion into building homes, mentoring youth, supporting families, and uplifting local communities. From small acts of kindness to large-scale initiatives, every effort reflects the spirit of connection and care that defines our culture—because it’s personal.

Diverse Volunteer Activities

As in prior years, our Floyd Lee Locums’ team members volunteered across a wide range of activities and organizations in 2025, demonstrating their commitment to various causes and communities.

Employees wrote Valentines, Easter, and Halloween cards for kids at children’s hospitals around the U.S. and participated in the Purple Bag Project online to send care packages to troops around the globe. Chelsea and Rae volunteered to build homes for Habitat for Humanity in Flagstaff, AZ while Megan coached a youth hockey team in Minneapolis, MN. From attending daytime board meetings to delivering food to those in need, our employees stepped up when and where it mattered most.

Our leadership team is also active in supporting community causes. Our CEO and Co-Founder, Natasha Lee, volunteers every month by serving on the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Steering Committee, speaking at various local business events to promote wellness and success, teaching masterclasses for young entrepreneurs and leaders, and serving as a mentor in the Minority Business Accelerator in Charleston. She also served as a mentor for Business Week at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington and with Business Communications at The Citadel.

Chief Operating Officer Nicole Burleson enjoys participating in local stream cleanups, donating to Goodwill, volunteering with the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, and donating to various causes like Lowcountry Orphan Relief. Other executive leadership team members participated on committees for NALTO and on the board for Cincinnati 2030 District. Director of Technology Jason Greene volunteers monthly with Help4Kids to provide food for children on weekends in his community. Senior VP of Growth Jenn Schultheis won a role model award for her work with the Raleigh Raptors as a Team Manager.

As a company, our employees supported My Sister’s House in Charleston, SC by fundraising with Bitty & Beau’s Coffee. We also participated in team members’ children’s projects such as raising money for The Wildlife Federation and the Orange High School Cheer Team. Sandy volunteered with her son’s school for their show choir group while Justin dressed up as Santa for his neighborhood.

Across the country, from small groups to large non-profits, Floyd Lee Locums is proud to support our team’s volunteer passions no matter the cause or the effort. That’s why CEO Natasha Lee began the company’s We Serve program several years ago based on employee feedback. Natasha says, “We were looking for a way to volunteer in our communities across the U.S., since we’re a remote organization. What better way than to let each employee decide which organization lights the fire in them?” Natasha has since incorporated the We Serve program into the company’s values. “It’s one of the most important things we do at Floyd Lee Locums. Giving back is personal, just like healthcare. And I couldn’t be prouder of this team.”

We Serve by the Numbers

We Serve saw impressive participation in 2025, setting a record for number of days of service. 64 volunteered in their communities, logging an impressive 801 “days of service.” Their efforts benefited 115 organizations across the United States, showcasing the wide-reaching impact of our initiative. Below are a few of the organizations our employees supported in 2025 through We Serve.

My Sister’s House exists to break the cycle of domestic violence through trauma-informed and personalized care, advocacy, and education. They fight for more survivors and work toward a world where safety and healing are a human right.

Flagstaff Shelter Services is the largest emergency shelter in Northern Arizona. They provide shelter and critical services to the most vulnerable members of the community and assist them in finding permanent housing. They move people out of homelessness for good.

Habitat for Humanity is a movement of people in your local area and around the world, working together to build more prosperous and vibrant communities by making sure everyone has a safe, affordable place to call home.

The National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations® (NALTO®) is dedicated to creating and enforcing strong industry standards to uphold a strict Code of Ethics for temporary advanced practitioner and physician staffing through the prioritization of honesty, objectivity, integrity, and competency. They promote sound business practices across the locum tenens physician recruitment industry and exist to ensure that physicians and healthcare facilities are treated fairly.

Help4Kids supports Horry County’s (SC) most vulnerable children by keeping them happy, healthy, and fed. This 100% volunteer organization relies entirely on donations to provide food sacks for underprivileged children to take home each Friday during the school year.

Originally an effort to provide Christmas gifts for children in the foster care system, now the Jenkins Fundraiser purchases gifts for children and supports local families in our communities in partnership with the Jenkins Institute (formerly Jenkins Orphanage) and Beyond Our Walls.

Hopkins Youth Hockey Association (HYHA) was founded in 1977 to promote the growth and development of players in an environment that maximizes player participation and skill development, while emphasizing the value of sportsmanship and teamwork.

Big Dogs Huge Paws was founded on the core philosophy is that every “BIG” dog deserves a chance. Their goal is to make sure that every dog receives only the best of care, food, and training. They also ensure they are properly evaluated (medically and behaviorally) and placed according to their giant breed needs. Volunteers foster, transport, and provide medical care for these big dogs with huge needs.

Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) provides emergency clothing and essential supplies to abused and neglected children in the Lowcountry region of South Carolina. LOR believes that all children should be treated with respect and that their sense of self-esteem should be nurtured by providing them with the basic necessities of life.

Looking Ahead

As we reflect on a year of unprecedented challenges, we’re reminded of the resilience of our communities and the awe-inspiring actions Americans took to help their neighbors. At Floyd Lee Locums, we remain committed to our mission of improving healthcare and our local communities through service. Our We Serve initiative is more than just a program – it’s a reflection of our values and our commitment to making a positive impact.

Together, we’ll continue to make a difference, one act at a time.
