Overview

A healthcare organization in Western Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Urologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, surgical, inpatient, and call responsibilities across multiple practice locations while working alongside experienced advanced practice providers.

Assignment Details

  • Setting: Outpatient clinic, inpatient hospital, and surgical services
  • Start Date: As soon as credentialed
  • Contract: Ongoing
  • Schedule: Three consecutive weeks of coverage per month
  • Clinic Hours: Monday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
  • Call: 24-hour call (7:00 AM–7:00 AM) with a 30-minute response time
  • Credentialing: Approximately 90 days
  • EMR: Epic and Cerner

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient urology clinic services
  • Perform urologic procedures including cystoscopy and stent removal
  • Perform urgent inpatient urologic surgeries
  • Manage inpatient consultations and postoperative care
  • Participate in weekend inpatient rounding
  • Provide 24-hour call coverage while covering assigned clinic or surgical services
  • Document patient care using Epic and Cerner

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Urology
  • Active Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain one
  • DEA registration
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications
  • Minimum of three years of clinical experience
  • Ability to rotate between multiple practice locations
