Pediatrics Physician Locums Job – AZ

Overview

A healthcare organization in Arizona is seeking an experienced Pediatrician to provide ongoing clinic and newborn call coverage. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient care and inpatient newborn responsibilities while working alongside an established pediatric team.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Pediatrics
• Location: Arizona
• Start Date: As soon as credentialed
• Contract: Ongoing

Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: Full clinic days
• Friday: Half-day clinic
• Flexible combination of:
  • Clinic only
  • Clinic plus call
  • Weekend call coverage
• Approximately 10 days of call per month
• Rotating newborn call shared with a local pediatrician

Practice Setting

• Outpatient clinic and inpatient newborn coverage
• EMR: Athena (Clinic) and Medhost (Hospital)

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric outpatient care
• Newborn evaluations and inpatient newborn coverage
• Hospital rounding as needed
• Participate in shared call rotation
• Collaborate with an established pediatric care team

Practice Support

• Dedicated medical assistant
• Office manager and front office staff
• On-site pediatric physician
• Access to hospital laboratory and imaging services
• CLIA-waived testing available in the clinic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Pediatrics
• Experienced providers strongly preferred
• Hospital privileges required
• Comfortable with both outpatient pediatrics and newborn inpatient care
