• Call: 24-hour beeper call
• Call Response Time: Within 20 minutes

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour orthopedic call coverage
• Evaluate orthopedic consults and emergency department patients as needed
• Perform closed reductions and manage fracture care
• Treat common orthopedic injuries, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures
• Perform incision and drainage procedures when indicated
• Coordinate transfer of patients requiring higher-level trauma care
• Document patient care using Meditech

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
• Active North Carolina medical license
• Active North Carolina DEA registration
• Medicare and Medicaid credentialing with active PECOS enrollment
• Current vaccination status meeting facility requirements
• Ability to remain within a 20-minute response time while on call
• Eligible for hospital credentialing
