An orthopedic practice in southeast New Mexico is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for long-term locum tenens coverage. This assignment includes clinic-based orthopedic care, hospital rounding, and post-operative follow-up in a high-volume environment.

Schedule

Clinical Responsibilities
- Orthopedic clinic evaluations and follow-ups
- Pre-operative H&Ps
- Post-operative clinic and hospital care
- Inpatient and outpatient rounding
- Walk-in orthopedic evaluations, X-ray review, and podiatry-related cases
Patient Volume
- Approximately 35–50 patients per day
- Ages 8+
Requirements
- NP or PA
- Active New Mexico license required
- New Mexico controlled substance license required
- Active DEA required
- BLS certification required
- Board Eligible accepted
Additional Details
- No first assist required
- First assist experience is a plus for potential permanent consideration
- EMR: Athena & Cerner
- Credentialing timeframe approximately 30 days
- Temporary privileges available
