Locum Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon – Pennsylvania
Overview
A Level I Trauma Center in Pennsylvania is seeking a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon for an ongoing locum opportunity beginning September 2026. This assignment offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic, operating room, facial trauma, inpatient consults, and call responsibilities within a collaborative surgical environment.
Assignment Details
- Specialty: Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
- Location: Pennsylvania
- Start Date: September 1, 2026
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Operating Room: Approximately one OR day per week
- Call: Rotating overnight and weekend call with a 45-minute response time
Practice Setting
- Outpatient clinic
- Operating room
- Inpatient consult service
- Emergency Department consultations
- Epic EMR
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients requiring oral and maxillofacial surgical care
- Perform routine and complex oral surgical procedures, including impacted tooth extractions
- Manage facial trauma involving bony and soft tissue injuries
- Treat odontogenic and maxillofacial infections
- Provide inpatient and Emergency Department consultations
- Participate in scheduled operating room cases and rotating call coverage
- Document patient care using Epic EMR
Requirements
- Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon
- Minimum of two years of post-training experience
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or eligibility for licensure
- Comfortable independently managing facial trauma, clinic, operating room, and call responsibilities
- Case logs and professional references required for credentialing
