OBGYN Physician Locums Job – MD

A growing women's health practice in Maryland is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible OB/GYN physician for a full-time locum tenens assignment. This long-term opportunity combines outpatient clinic responsibilities with gynecologic call coverage and offers the stability of a consistent Monday–Friday schedule while supporting an established practice during ongoing recruitment efforts.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Setting: Outpatient Clinic with Gynecologic Call Coverage
• Start Date: ASAP Upon Credentialing
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• EMR: Epic

Schedule

• Clinic coverage Monday through Friday
• Two weekday 24-hour gynecology call shifts per week
• One weekend of gynecology call per month
• Long-term, full-time coverage preferred

Practice Environment

• Established women's health practice
• Approximately 18–20 patients per day
• Balanced scheduling model with:
  • 15-minute follow-up appointments
  • 30-minute new patient appointments
• Full administrative and clinical support
• On-site sonography services
• Access to Gynecologic Oncology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine consultation via TeleHealth

Responsibilities

• Outpatient obstetric and gynecologic care
• Preventive and routine women's health visits
• Evaluation and management of gynecologic conditions
• Gynecologic call coverage
• Office-based procedures
• Documentation within Epic EMR

Procedures

• IUD insertion and removal
• Nexplanon placement and removal
• Colposcopy
• Endometrial biopsy (EMB)
• Vulvar biopsy
• Additional office-based gynecologic procedures

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Active Maryland license required
• Virginia and Washington, DC licensed physicians eligible for reciprocity may be considered for long-term coverage
• Minimum three years of experience
• DEA required
• BLS required
• CPR required
• Drive-in candidates strongly preferred

• Clinical support staff
• On-site sonography services
• Access to specialty consultation support

Credentialing

• Temporary and emergency privileges available
• Orientation paid
