Hematology/Oncology NP – Locum-to-Perm | Weekday Schedule | Southern Louisiana
Overview
An outpatient oncology program in southern Louisiana is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a locum or locum-to-permanent opportunity. This role is ideal for an NP with significant Hematology/Oncology experience who is comfortable managing complex patients and coordinating comprehensive cancer care. (Job ID: 51608)
Details
- Assignment: September-December 2026 with locum-to-perm opportunity
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
- Setting: Outpatient Hematology/Oncology clinic with infusion services
- No inpatient rounding or hospital consult call
- Limited Saturday morning rotation approximately once every 3 months
- Scope includes treatment visits, follow-ups, some new patient appointments, and coordination of care
- Provider may need to remain through completion of the final chemotherapy/biotherapy treatment of the day
- Works alongside Medical Oncologists and experienced NPs
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner
- Board certification required
- 3-5 years of Hematology/Oncology experience required
- BLS required
- Active LA license required
