A health system in Michigan is seeking a Board Certified Hematologist/Oncologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment beginning this fall. This opportunity offers two consecutive weeks of coverage per month, primarily in an outpatient setting with light phone call responsibilities. Assignment Details

• Setting: Primarily Outpatient with limited Inpatient consults
• Start Date: Ongoing
• Contract Length: Ongoing
• Schedule:
  • Monday–Friday
  • 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • Two consecutive weeks per month preferred
• Call: Light beeper call with occasional nights and weekends; phone call only
• EMR: Athena and Cerner
• Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours plus call

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care
• Evaluate new patients and conduct follow-up visits
• Participate in occasional inpatient consults
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary oncology support teams
• Participate in weekly tumor board discussions

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Fellowship training preferred
• Active state medical license required
• Hospital privileges required
• IMLC not accepted
• Comfortable providing outpatient hematology and oncology care with limited inpatient consultation
