Assignment Details

• Setting: Hospital Emergency Department

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute and emergent medical conditions
• Perform emergency medicine procedures as clinically indicated
• Stabilize critically ill and injured patients
• Collaborate with consulting specialists and hospital staff
• Complete required clinical documentation

Requirements

• Board Certification preferred (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM, AOBEM, AOBFM, or AOBIM)
• Completion of an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience
• Active, unrestricted Mississippi medical license
• Active Mississippi DEA registration
• ACLS (AHA), ATLS, and PALS required (BLS required unless Emergency Medicine boarded)
• Case logs and CME documentation from the past two years
• Ability to meet all credentialing and immunization requirements prior to start
