Schedule

• Approximately 30 shifts per month available across multiple facilities
• Preferred coverage blocks of 5–7 consecutive days
• No call requirements

Available Shift Options

• 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 12:00 AM

10-hour shifts may be accommodated.

Practice Details

• Coverage across multiple emergency departments within the health system
• Annual ED volume exceeding 50,000 visits
• Average 15–20 patients per physician per day
• Approximately 2 patients per hour
• Adult and Pediatric patient mix:
  • 80% Adult
  • 20% Pediatric
• Epic EMR
• Stroke-Certified Facility
• 24/7 APP support at select locations
• Multiple physician coverage model throughout most hours

Procedures

Providers should be comfortable performing:

• Endotracheal Intubation (minimum 20 documented cases within the last 24 months)
• Central Venous Catheter Placement
• Lumbar Puncture
• Thoracentesis
• Paracentesis
• Moderate Sedation
• Nasal Packing (Anterior and Posterior)
• Suprapubic Bladder Aspiration
• Breast Cyst Aspiration

Requirements

• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Emergency Medicine Residency Trained
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience
• Active Indiana License or IMLC eligibility
• DEA required
• Clear malpractice and background history preferred
• Procedure logs required with submission
• Must provide documentation of at least 20 intubations performed within the last 24 months
• References required
