Non-Invasive Cardiologist – Clinic, Consult & Call Coverage

A healthcare organization in Western Kentucky is seeking a Board Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers a combination of outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, non-invasive cardiology procedures, and shared call coverage in a collaborative cardiovascular program.

Assignment Details
- Setting: Hospital and Outpatient Clinic
- Start Date: As early as September 2026
- Contract: Long-term assignment (6–12 months preferred)
- Schedule: Full-time or part-time opportunities
- Coverage: Monday–Friday or Monday–Sunday availability required
- Shift Types: Day shifts, weekday call, and 24-hour call
- Call: Approximately one weeknight call and one weekend call per month
- Temporary Privileges: Available
Clinical Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient cardiology clinic services
- Perform inpatient cardiology consultations
- Interpret echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests, including nuclear, dobutamine, and exercise studies
- Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), cardioversions, and tilt table testing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular care teams
- Participate in scheduled call coverage across multiple practice locations within the health system
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
- Minimum of two years of post-training experience
- Proficiency performing TEE, cardioversion, and tilt table testing
- Experience interpreting echocardiograms and cardiac stress tests
- Willingness to provide weekend coverage at multiple locations within the health system
- Eligible for hospital credentialing
